The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) profoundly put in motion it’s 2nd National Integrated Waste Management Exhibition last June 21-24 at the SM Megatrade Halls 1 & 2 and SM Megamall Mandaluyong City. The objective of this activity was to propose efficient tools and solutions to assist on the waste management challenges of national and local shareholders while addressing present and developing environmental problems in the Philippines.
It focused on the significant role from different departments such as environmental discipline, environmental authority and practical development to reduce waste. This exhibit desired to put together shareholders who have the same interest about taking action towards saving our environment. It exhibited areas of community who are representing aggregated waste management concern while promoting feasible growth. Moreover, International Coastal Cleanup Philippines (ICC PH) took part of this event along with all the other inspiring environment devotees such as Nestle with their Compressed Interlocking Bricks which are made from sachets/laminate as fillers wherein tables are also produced and later on donated to local schools, Ecosystem Technologies Inc, with their water treatment solutions, ICTSI Foundation Inc and many more. All of these organizations had their own unique way to work together and make change happen to turn what we call waste into something useful. It is incredible to think that a lot of us still do care and are well aware of what is happening around us. Simple actions like these do make a difference because we believe that as long as there are people willing to make a change, there will be a better tomorrow. Act your part and be involved! Join the ICC movement for a sea of change. For more information please visit www.icc.ph
