Heads of the LMRLF, SBMA Tourism, SBMA Ecology, Subic Water and Regional Science High School held a meeting last August 17, 2015 at the Lighthouse Marina resort to talk about uniting people to change their methods of dealing with trash. SBMA Tourism also discussed about organizing activities inside the Subic Bay Freeport as this is a great time to bring supporters and partners in the industry together in our community. They also introduced a technology utilizing “bokashi balls” or “fermented organic matter” which refers to a system developed in Japan that uses beneficial microorganisms to break down toxins and food waste in the river. This will be featured in the Environmental Summit event this coming September 11, 2015.
