The Lighthouse Marina Resort Legacy Foundation (LMRLF) met with the Public Affairs Office (PAO) of Olongapo City to discuss initial coordination plans of gathering Local Government Units, The Environmental Sanitation and Management Office (ESMO) and site captains from 2013 for an ICC post report meeting. This will enable the core groups and organizing team to discuss best practices and methods to further improve the upcoming cleanup on September 20.
Mr. Anthony Bayarong of PAO has pledged their support with the public awareness campaign through an LED truck, radio ad, and information dissemination. He also suggested, that the additional participation of ESMO (Environmental Sanitation and Management Office), is essential, to regulate the wastes or debris that will be collected by the volunteers on the actual clean up. The core team expressed their ideas in segregating the wastes that can be sold, from the ones to be discarded. This will enable more government support and sustainability for the campaign. A coordination meeting to gather all previous site captain’s represented by each of the 17 barangays is scheduled at The Lighthouse Marina Resort this week.
