The Lighthouse Marina Resort Legacy Foundation together with some friends from the Rotary Club of Subic Bay, Rotary Club of Cubao West, Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce, Organizers of Giro de Pilipinas, and Networx Jetsport visited Sampaloc Cove to donate food supplies sponsored by Nanofixit, a local manufacturing company in the Freeport, and educational materials sponsored by Kate Careon.
The activity also included a beach and trail clean up. A portion of the beach of the pristine cove are filled with trash washed up on shore. Despite the cleanup efforts, still more trash are left behind. Coves like Sampaloc are also threatened by irresponsible travellers who do not handle trash properly. The LMRLF continues to promote the "Leave No Trace" principles in the by putting signages to remind travellers on how to care for the environment. The purpose of human life besides taking care of our environment is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others. The ICCPH is all about that.
